Time Eternal: A Visual on the Orthodox Understanding of Time

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve been reading “Time and Despondency” by Nicole Roccas – and I’m loving it. That book moved me so much I immediately grabbed my brush, ink and started illustrating some concepts. Nicole was kind enough to work with me and make sure these visuals echo the messages she’s written in the book, and I’m sure this isn’t the only piece I’m making inspired by the book.
I wholeheartedly recommend “Time and Despondency” to any Orthodox Christians who ever felt a conflict between the way “the world” understands and discusses time, and the way the Church does. The book is built on the writings of the fathers on despondency, specifically Evagrius Ponticus.
You should check out her book, her blog and her Time Eternal podcast.
